Step 01

New Patient Paperwork

All new patients complete an intake form so our team understands your health history before your visit. You can download the forms from our website, fill them out at home, and bring them with you — which saves about 20 minutes at the office.

If you prefer, you can also complete the paperwork when you arrive. Either way, we’ve got you covered.

About 20 minutes — or zero if completed at home

Step 02

Consultation & Health History

This is where we learn about you. One of our doctors will sit down with you to talk through your health history, current concerns, and what brought you in. We’ll discuss your short-term goals (like specific pain relief) and long-term goals (like staying active with your family or improving overall wellness).

Come prepared to share openly — the more we understand, the better we can serve you.

Nervous system evaluation using NASA-certified scanning technology in Prosper, TX
Step 03

Nervous System Evaluation

We perform a comprehensive evaluation using NASA-certified scanning technology to assess how your nervous system is functioning. This is followed by a detailed spinal exam that helps us identify exactly where any misalignments or interference might be affecting your health.

The entire process is non-invasive, painless, and takes about 15 minutes.

Step 04

Digital X-rays

We take on-site digital X-rays to get a precise picture of your spinal health. Digital imaging uses significantly less radiation than traditional film and the images are available immediately for review.

We skip X-rays if you’re pregnant or a small child — we’ll rely on our hands-on exam and scanning technology instead.

Step 05

Doctor’s Report of Findings

This is your opportunity to learn what we found and how we’ll help you move forward. Your doctor will walk you through your evaluation and X-ray results in plain language, explain our technique, and outline a personalized care plan built around your health history, current concerns, and goals.

There’s no pressure — just a clear plan and all the information you need to make a decision.

First chiropractic adjustment treatment at Restoration Chiropractic in Prosper, TX
Step 06

Your First Treatment

You’ll receive your first adjustment on the same visit. Our primary technique is Torque Release Technique (TRT) — a gentle, specific approach using a specialized instrument that involves no twisting or cracking. You remain in a neutral position the entire time.

Most new patients feel a difference before they leave. Kids, seniors, and everyone in between love their adjustments.

Our Approach

The Techniques We Use

Our care combines the most advanced tools in chiropractic with the hands-on expertise you’d expect from a family practice.

Torque Release Technique (TRT)

Our primary technique. A gentle, neurologically-based adjustment using a specialized instrument — no twisting or popping. Safe for every age, from newborns to seniors.

Manual Adjustments

When your case calls for it, our doctors also provide skilled manual adjustments — sometimes in combination with TRT. The goal is always the best outcome for your individual needs.

NASA-Certified Scanning

Technology originally developed for the space program lets us precisely measure how your nervous system is functioning — no guesswork. We scan at your first visit and track progress over time.

PiezoWave Shockwave Therapy

For certain conditions — chronic tendon issues, plantar fasciitis, scar tissue — we offer PiezoWave, a non-invasive therapy that accelerates healing by stimulating tissue repair.

Common Questions

Your First Visit, Answered

The most common questions we hear from new patients before they walk in the door.

How long will my first visit take?
Plan for 45 to 75 minutes. Your first visit includes a consultation, nervous system evaluation, digital X-rays (in most cases), a doctor’s report, and your first adjustment — all in one visit. We take the time to do it right rather than rushing you through.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept most major insurance plans and our front desk team will review your benefits with you to help you understand what’s covered and what your out-of-pocket cost may be. We’ll work with you to find the option that makes the most sense for your situation.
Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
Yes, in most cases. After your consultation, evaluation, and doctor’s report, you’ll receive your first adjustment the same visit. If there’s a reason we recommend waiting, we’ll explain it clearly and walk you through the next steps.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is needed to see a chiropractor in Texas. You can book directly with us and start care right away.
What if I’ve never been to a chiropractor before?
Many of our patients are first-timers. Our primary technique (Torque Release Technique) is gentle, low-force, and involves no twisting or popping — so even if you’re nervous about the idea of a traditional adjustment, we’ve got you covered. We’ll also explain every step before it happens.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely. We’re a family practice and see patients of all ages — including newborns, infants, and kids. Our doctors are ICPA-trained in pediatric chiropractic care. Feel free to bring your kids with you, or schedule their own visits anytime.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes you can move easily in. Athletic wear works great. You don’t need to change into a gown for your adjustment.
