Who We Help

Care Built for the Way You Actually Train

From youth travel teams to professional athletes, the demands on your body shift as you level up. Our care plans are built around where you are — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Youth Athletes

Growing Bodies, High-Volume Schedules

Travel teams, multiple sports, year-round training. Kids’ bodies are still developing, which makes alignment, movement patterns, and recovery more important — not less. Gentle, instrument-based adjustments sized for growing athletes.

Competitive Athletes

High-Level Competitors at Every Stage

Varsity starters, club-level competitors, collegiate athletes, and professionals training and competing at the highest levels. We help you recover between games, address overuse injuries early, and keep performing when it matters most.

Weekend Warriors & Adult Rec

Adults Who Still Show Up

CrossFit, pickup basketball, running, cycling, rec leagues — the training doesn’t stop just because you’re not on a varsity roster anymore. We help you keep training hard, recover faster, and avoid the injuries that sideline most people after 35.

Neurologically-based chiropractic adjustment for an athlete at Restoration Chiropractic in Prosper, TX

Neurologically-Based Chiropractic

Train the Nervous System, Not Just the Spine

Athletic performance is nervous-system performance. Reaction time, coordination, power output, balance, recovery — all of it runs through the brain-body connection. When that connection is interrupted by spinal misalignment, the whole system operates below capacity.

We use the Torque Release Technique and NASA-certified nervous system scanning to identify exactly where communication is breaking down, then deliver precise, gentle adjustments that restore it. No twisting. No cracking. Just targeted input that helps the nervous system do what it was designed to do.

Shockwave therapy treatment with PiezoWave device for sports injury recovery at Restoration Chiropractic

Shockwave Therapy

For the Injuries Rest and Stretching Can’t Fix

Chronic tendonitis. Plantar fasciitis. Rotator cuff pain. Stubborn IT band issues. Scar tissue from old injuries that never fully healed. These are the soft-tissue problems that quietly end athletic careers — and they’re exactly what shockwave therapy is designed to address.

We deliver shockwave therapy using the PiezoWave device — precisely-targeted acoustic sound waves that penetrate deep into injured tissue, break up adhesions, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing response. It’s non-invasive, drug-free, FDA-registered, and lets most athletes keep training through treatment — not instead of it.

Common Questions

Answers About Sports Chiropractic

Is sports chiropractic safe for young athletes?
Yes. Our doctors use the Torque Release Technique, a gentle, neurologically-based adjustment delivered with a handheld instrument — no twisting, no cracking, no heavy force. It’s safe and appropriate for youth athletes, high schoolers, and growing bodies. Our doctors are also ICPA-trained for pediatric care, so the adjustment is always sized to the athlete.
What kinds of sports injuries do you treat?
We regularly treat muscle strains, tendonitis (elbow, shoulder, knee), rotator cuff issues, plantar fasciitis, IT band problems, joint pain in hips and knees, pinched nerves, lower back pain, and sciatica. We also help athletes recovering from acute injuries, chronic overuse patterns, and post-concussion symptoms. If an injury is beyond chiropractic scope, we’ll tell you and refer appropriately.
Can sports chiropractic help prevent injuries?
Yes. Many of our athletes come in for performance and prevention, not injury. Regular adjustments help maintain joint alignment, muscle balance, and nervous system function — all of which reduce the risk of injury from overuse, poor mechanics, or asymmetry. A body that moves well and recovers well gets hurt less.
How does Shockwave Therapy work for athletes?
Shockwave Therapy uses precisely-targeted acoustic sound waves to penetrate deep into injured soft tissue. It breaks up scar tissue, reduces inflammation, and stimulates the body’s natural healing response — especially effective for chronic tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff issues, and stubborn soft-tissue injuries that haven’t responded to rest or stretching. We deliver it using the PiezoWave device, which is non-invasive, drug-free, and FDA-registered.
Does Shockwave Therapy hurt?
Most patients describe it as feeling like pressure on a bruise — unusual at first, but manageable. Sessions are relatively quick, and you can typically continue your training between treatments. Our technician Eric walks every patient through what to expect before the first session.
How soon should I come in after a sports injury?
As soon as it’s safe to do so. After ruling out fractures or serious tissue damage, early chiropractic care often speeds recovery and reduces compensation patterns that can cause secondary injuries. For acute injuries, call us and we’ll get you in quickly — the sooner we can address it, the better the outcome.
Do you work with athletes who aren’t currently injured?
Absolutely. Many of our athletes — from youth travel-team players to collegiate competitors to professional athletes — come in regularly for performance optimization. Proper alignment and nervous system function help with reaction time, power output, recovery, and long-term joint health. Injury doesn’t have to be the reason you start.
